Privacy Policy
Outwin is built privacy-first. There's no account and no server holding your work — the short version is that your boards never leave your machine.
Last updated: 22 June 2026
The one-line version
Everything you draw, write, and link on the canvas is stored locally in your own browser. Outwin has no backend database, so we never receive, see, or store your boards.
What we collect
Outwin is designed to collect as little as possible. In practice:
- Your canvas content — boxes, text, diagrams, icons, and links — is saved only in your browser's local storage on your device. It is never uploaded to us.
- No account. There is no sign-up, login, email capture, or profile. We don't know who you are.
- No tracking or advertising cookies, and no third-party analytics or fingerprinting scripts.
The feedback form
If you choose to use the feedback form on the home page, the name, email, and message you type are sent to Formspree, a form-handling service, so we can read and reply. We only use that information to respond to you. If you never submit the form, none of this applies.
Local storage on your device
To save your canvas between visits, Outwin uses your browser's localStorage. This stays on your device and under your control. You can wipe it any time by starting a new canvas in the app, or by clearing site data for outw.in in your browser settings.
Third-party resources
The page loads fonts and a couple of code/icon libraries from public content-delivery networks (Google Fonts and cdnjs). As with any website, those providers may log the standard request information (such as your IP address) needed to serve a file. We don't control or receive that data.
Children
Outwin is a general-purpose tool and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here.
